I Will Not Buy A Bird......I Will Not Buy A Bird......

I'm buying a bird. It's all Carli's fault over at Twinkling Along!! She started this!! She posted about her adorable, beautiful singer canary and now I need one. I have always had birds. They are easy to care for, small and not very expensive. So why don't I have one already? Todd. -_- Todd is terrified of birds. He is an insurance salesman and frequently travels to customers' houses to help them with claims and such. On one visit he says he was "attacked" by a bird. Whatever. I think one swooped down and startled him and now he's being a baby about it. I've been conditioning him on the idea of us getting one, because we are getting one. ;) Sorry, babe.

Moved, Summer, Loss Of A Pet and Learning.....

We have moved into out new home, a huge second floor apartment two towns over from our old place. We've been here for a month and a half, and it's still looks only half finished. Some boxes laying around, my office area is in dire need of a chair and someone to organize it. I've been too busy to do much and honestly, it's too hot to even move on most days, let alone do work around the house. I have to finish painting the kids' room, the office and the hallway, hang pictures, organize everything, figure out what goes in the attic and what stays. ((sigh)) I love our new place though, it just feels good. Todd and I may stay for more than just a year. And plus, we want to try the fireplace out.

In the middle of all this moving, summertime fun and craziness, we lost a pet. Our sweet Molly went to sleep Monday night and never woke up. I knew it was coming, but nothing can prepare you for the death of a pet. She was 13 years old, she had Addison's Disease, liver failure and a heart murmur. We were so lucky to have had her for as long as we did. I miss her so bad. The kids dealt with it very well. We got her ashes back last week and they made a spot for her right next to our cat Mina who passed away 3 years ago. I don't know how I'm going to make it through three more losses. One of the downfalls of having pets, you become too attached. :(

Through all of this craziness I have learned a few things.....

1.) I hate moving

2.) I will only move one more time and that is it!

3.) I need to learn to not worry so much.

4.) I am no good at organizing.

5.) I really need a maid.

Contrary To Popular Belief, I Am NOT A Profession Zit Popper

I have three dogs, a cat and two fish who are immortal. My ex had two of the tree dogs when I first met him, so technically they aren't really mine. Chewy, he's mine. He was a Valentine's Day gift 11 years ago. My grumpy old man is all mine. I love his stinky breath and the way he likes to sleep right between Todd and I in the bed to keep us from touching. It's so cute. One of the downfalls of having a pet is that they get old, and things start going wrong. Like today, when I found something on his BUTT!! Looks like a hemorrhoid to me, but the groomer said it may be a cyst. o.O She wants me to put hot compresses on it to see if it goes away or bursts. OMG!! NO!! I almost threw up in my mouth when she said that. No way I'm forcing a hot compress onto my dog's butt!! So it's off to the vet's office in a couple of days to see what they can do for him. They're the professionals!! Let them pops Chewy's giant ass zit, I want no part of it. Ew.

A New Addition.......

NO! Not a baby! AHHHH! We have a new kitten! Well, Lex has a new kitten. She's  his "baby girl, love bug, Flufferton". Yes, he named her Fluffy. Of course!! Can you tell he's smitten? The boy is so in love with this cat that she's the first thing he runs to when he gets home from school. And she's just great!! Such a good kitten, too. She's sweet, cuddly and isn't afraid of the kids. Just perfect.......

And yes, she was hugging Lex in that last picture. The cuteness almost killed me. :) Everyone is so happy that we have a new kitten, but all I keep thinking about is how many mice she's going to kill for me. ;)

I'm Not Just A Mommy.....I'm Also A FURRRR Mommy!!!

Yes, I have animals and lots of them. 3 dogs and 2 cats. Ok, maybe not lots, but we do have a few. Here they are.......


This is Chewbacca. He is a long haired Chihuahua. He was a Valentine's Day gift from my husband about 6 years ago. He is now 7 1/2. :( He's my grumpy old man and I love him so!


This is LUUUUUUCY!! I say it like that because she is our bad dog. She eats poop, runs off, steals food from the kids and anyone else that is daring enough to get too close to her while holding a chicken leg. But she is sweet. She's a mini Dachshund. She loves to cuddle and is always cold. I swear I could set her on fire and she would still be cold!


And this is Miss. Molly. Molly is a mini Cairn Terrier. She is the sweetest thing and tries so hard to be loved, even though she doesn't need to try very hard. Molly has Addison's disease and has to take steroids everyday and goes in once a month to see her Vet. for a corti shot or else she'll die. Taking care of her is a privlage because we love her so much!!


Our cats won't sit still long enough for me to take their pictures. Their names are Mina & Orbit. They are insane. Nuff said.

If my husband let me I'd have tons of Chihuahuas!! My breed of choice. I just love their ears, their cute little faces and how devoted they are. Great! Now I'm jonesen for a puppy. Hey, it'sw better than wanting another baby!!!
